Storage Share opens a 2,500 m² storage unit in Den Helder next to the Praxis branch
DEN HELDER, 31 October 2024 – Storage Share, the nationwide provider of storage units, has opened its latest site in Den Helder. This site, located at Burgemeester Ritmeesterweg 15, offers 2,500 m² of flexible storage units. The storage facility is located in the same building as the De Zolder charity shop and next to Praxis. Residents of Nieuwedieper will recognise the building from ‘De Slaapzaak’, which previously occupied the premises.
Storage Share offers 350 storage units, ranging from 2 m² to 12 m², allowing residents of Den Helder to rent extra space. According to Julian Doorten, co-owner of Storage Share, the new location caters to various needs for temporary or long-term storage. “With the arrival of Storage Share in Den Helder, we are finally breaking through the limitations of the current self-storage offering.”
Reuse and storage under one roof
Research by Storage Share in towns of a similar size to Den Helder shows that roughly half of tenants use their storage unit to store household goods. A further quarter store hobby items. The majority (44 per cent) rent a unit because they are moving house, 36 per cent because of a lack of space at home, and 12 per cent because of a home renovation. “We’re delighted to now be making these services available in Den Helder too,” says Doorten. “We’re not only excited about opening our doors to the residents of Den Helder, but also about the unique partnership with Kringloop de Zolder. Reuse and storage under one roof – isn’t that brilliant?”
In addition to the innovative storage facility in Den Helder, Storage Share emphasises the importance of the location. “Perfectly situated next to Praxis, we offer convenience and accessibility for anyone who needs extra space, whether for the short or long term,” adds Doorten. “Moving house, going on a round-the-world trip, storing business equipment, taking charge of a deceased relative’s estate, a divorce or the birth of a child: there are countless reasons why people might want to store their belongings for a few weeks or even years.”
